How we began

PureCin originated from a simple moment while travelling in Sri Lanka.

During a visit to a cinnamon farm, I was introduced to a locally made, plant-based insect deterrent product that used cinnamon oil. It was something people had been using in everyday life for years – straightforward, effective in purpose, and built around a single, well-understood ingredient.

I was sceptical. It only had natural ingredients. However nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I gave it a go. It was noticeably different immediately. Not only did it have a pleasant aroma, which everyone commented on, it actually worked! For the first time ever I was the person at the evening sunset dinner not being eaten by insects. 

When I ran out I decided to find a way to bring the product home. This led to me working directly with the same cinnamon farm owners to design a product designed for everyday use.

PureCin is built on that idea – keeping things simple, focusing on natural ingredients, and creating a considered alternative for protection outdoors.
